About Em

It's only natural to want to know who is caring for your pet, so here is some background information about who I am and my experience in animal care!

Hi! My name is Emma, and I'll start by saying I live for animals - always have done and always will! I grew up with pets (specifically dogs and birds), and spent a lot of my younger years rescuing injured wildlife and transporting them to wildlife hospitals and vets. It's not surprising that I then went on to volunteer at a wildlife hospital for a number of years, whilst also studying for my Level 3 Extended Diploma in Animal Management at Writtle Agricultural College.

Over the years, I also volunteered on a petting farm and in a dog kennel establishment, and then began work as a patient care assistant across multiple veterinary practices in Southend On Sea. I worked with Medivet for a few years, as I progressed my role to a student veterinary nurse, where I gained a great deal of knowledge surrounding pet care, medical conditions, treatments, hands on work with hundreds of pets of varying species, breeds, sizes and temperaments, and; of course; many, many rewarding experiences. Duties ranging from routine nail clips, to anaesthetic monitoring, to life saving emergency interventions - I loved it all! Since then, I have been dog sitting and walking, and have also become a certified canine first aider. Now, as a fully insured dog walker and pet carer, I am turning my skillset and experience to provide my services to you and your pets!

I am happy and comfortable caring for any and every pet; of any species, any breed, any size, and any temperament. So, please get in touch if you would like to book in a free meet and greet consultation with me, or if you have any questions regarding either myself or the services I provide under Em's Walks and Wellness. I look forward to meeting you and your animal companions!
